RYAN SCHMIDT: DIRECTOR
Ryan is a native of the Detroit Metro area and currently resides in Raleigh, North Carolina. Ryan played professionally for nine years and is a former CHL All-Star. He has been teaching hockey skills and techniques for over 18 years at all levels, including: House, Travel, AA, AAA, NAJHL, OHL, CCHA,
ECHL, IHL, and members from the 1998 Women’s Olympic Team.

DOUG SCHMIDT: HEAD INSTRUCTOR
Doug played Division I College Hockey at Northern Michigan University and was drafted by the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche in 1997. His professional hockey career led him to the American Hockey League with the Rochester Americans. During his career he represented Team USA in Japan and was MVP of the USHL (JR "A" Tier I) for the Waterloo Black Hawks as a defenseman.

DARREN SCHMIDT: HEAD INSTRUCTOR
Darren played Major Junior for the Kitchener Rangers
of the OHL in 1994 and was invited to play for Team USA's select 17 Team. He attended the Toronto Maple Leaf's Training Camp in 1995 and went on to play professionally in the ECHL and the UHL. Darren is currently pursuing his Ph.D in Neuro-Psychology at
the University of Windsor

DARREN McLEAN:INSTRUCTOR
Darren is from Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada, where he started his hockey career playing Major Junior for the Swift Current Broncos of the WHL. He played professionally with the Central Hockey League for four years. Darren is currently the General Manager for the Amarillo Gorillas of the Central Hockey League.

JORGE ALVES: GOALTENDING INSTRUCTOR
Jorge is a native of Massachusetts where he played Minor Hockey. He began teaching goaltending skills to youth hockey players at various camps. After a successful minor hockey career he moved to Raleigh, NC, to study Business Marketing at N.C. State University.

STEVE GOLDSMITH: INSTRUCTOR
Steve is from Chatam, Ontario, Canada, where he played hockey at the Tier II Junior level. This will be Steve’s fifth year with Pro Hockey Schools.

RYAN HENDERSON: STRENGTH and CONDITIONING
Ryan hails from Toronto, Canada. He played in the Western Professional Hockey League for the Amarillo Rattlers. Before entering the Professional ranks, Ryan played Tier II Junior in Canada and at the University of Windsor.


*All other instructors are past students who went on to play College Hockey or Junior Hockey. They have been trained through the Professional Hockey Schools program. They provide each player the individual attention needed to gain confidence for a higher level of performance ability.
