Elite Mite Program
Built for advanced 8U players, our Elite Program is for young athletes who skate fluently, move the puck, and understand the game. This season, we’ll take on top competition in Boston and Florida, giving our players an unforgettable opportunity to compete, grow, and elevate their game.
Ages
Elite hockey teams are organized strictly by birth year. This means each team is made up of players born in the same calendar year—for example:
- 2018 Team → players born in 2018
- 2019 Team → players born in 2019
This structure ensures that players are competing and developing alongside peers of the same age, providing consistency in both training and competition.

Where
During the pre-registration process, families will see the name of each event along with its location. Events this season are held in the United States.
Team Practices
Teams may or may not have the opportunity to schedule a practice before an event. This depends on ice availability and logistics.
If a practice is scheduled, there will be an additional cost per player to cover the ice rental and coaching. This fee would be separate from the tournament/event registration cost.
Games
The tournament events guarantee a minimum of 5 games. Depending on team performance and event structure, teams may play up to 8 games total.
Sample Weekend Schedule*
- Friday – 2 pool play games
- Saturday – 2 pool play games
- Sunday – Playoff rounds and championship games (if qualified)
*Schedules vary by event and are confirmed by the tournament organizers. Families should plan for games to be scheduled at any time throughout the day.
Travel Expectations
Families should plan to arrive the night before the first scheduled game to allow for rest and preparation. Travel arrangements and accommodations are the responsibility of each family. Early arrival ensures players are ready and minimizes stress on game days.
Jerseys
If families have uniforms from previous years and they are still in good condition, there is no need to purchase new uniforms.
For families who need jerseys, please use the order form located in the Resources tab to place your request.
Required Equipment:
All players must have the necessary gear to participate, including:
- Team Game Jerseys
- Team Game Socks
Extra Costs
Families are responsible for their own travel arrangements, including transportation to and from events.
