Boys Premier AA Hockey
Program Eligibility
This program is for players competing at the Tier 2 level. Eligible participants must be rostered on a team classified as AA or is on a highly ranked A level team within MYHockey Rankings. Players will compete alongside top athletes from across North America.
MYHockey Rankings is the national system that tracks and ranks youth hockey teams across North America, helping identify the most competitive programs at each age level.
Ages
Premier hockey teams are organized by birth year in two-year age groups, ranging from 8U through 18U for boys and 19U for girls. Each team is made up of players born within the designated birth years for that division.
For example:
• 8U Team → Players born in 2018–2019
• 10U Team → Players born in 2016–2017
• 12U Team → Players born in 2014–2015
This structure allows players to compete and develop alongside peers of a similar age, creating consistency in both training and competition.
Premiere Team Calendar
Premiere Spring and Summer teams are formed during the fall/winter season. Families may pre-register for any or all of the scheduled events. Throughout the season, our staff scouts players and extends offers to families based on performance and fit.
The Spring/Summer season runs from April through August, giving players the opportunity to train, compete in tournaments, and continue their development during the off-season.
Where
During the pre-registration process, families will see the name of each event along with its location. Events are held in both the United States and Canada.
Team Practices
Teams may or may not have the opportunity to schedule a practice before an event. This depends on ice availability and logistics.
If a practice is scheduled, there will be an additional cost per player to cover the ice rental and coaching. This fee would be separate from the tournament/event registration cost.
Games
Most tournament events guarantee a minimum of 5 games. Depending on team performance and event structure, teams may play up to 10 games total.
Sample Weekend Schedule*
- Friday – 2 pool play games
- Saturday – 1-2 pool play games
- Sunday – Playoff rounds and championship games (if qualified)
*Schedules vary by event and are confirmed by the tournament organizers. Families should plan for games to be scheduled at any time throughout the day.
Travel Expectations
Families should plan to arrive the night before the first scheduled game to allow for rest and preparation. Travel arrangements and accommodations are the responsibility of each family. Early arrival ensures players are ready and minimizes stress on game days.
Jerseys
If families have uniforms from previous years and they are still in good condition, there is no need to purchase new uniforms.
For families who need jerseys, please use the order form located in the Resources tab to place your request.
Required Equipment:
All players must have the necessary gear to participate, including:
- Team Game Jerseys

Extra Costs
Families are responsible for their own travel arrangements, including transportation to and from events.
